XP-Protector Help: Tutorial |
Now we will look at the settings you can customize for each user (each account).
In the tree expand User settings.
You will see several categories, some of them even include subcategories.
Click the first one - Account.
Note the
combo-box with user names, which appears in the toolbar:
In this combo-box you select the user whose settings you wish to change.
Now look at the Account window:
Here you can define basic properties of user account. For example you can set user password or disable the account (prevent user from logging on).
Now click User rights.
The right window now splits into two panes - tree with drives and folders and a list with files.
Working in these two windows you can define access rights for files and folders:
Click folder or file with right mouse button.
In the window that appears click the right you
want to set. Click here for details about
access rights defined by XP Protector.
If you want to remove all rights defined directly for selected folder/file (for example to change the rights to those of the parent folder), click the Revoke from this object box.
Click the Advanced button if you want to change some advanced features such as owner of the folder or inheritance.
