This page provides quick introduction to using Flash Securer.
To try Flash Securer in few easy steps:
Download Flash Securer from the web (flash_securer.exe)
Run the setup file to install and start Flash Securer. It will be installed to your user profile only and started immediately.
After
the introductory screen and/or messages main program window
appears:
Plug
your flash drive into the computer
Flash Securer will detect this and ask you if you want to configure the drive for secured transfer. Select Yes.
Follow
the steps of the wizard to set up your flash drive.
After
the wizard is finished, Flash Securer will recognize your flash disk
as secured and ask you whether you want to synchronize it with image
folder. Select Yes.
A
window opens with the contents of your secured folder. It will now
be empty. (If you have displaying invisible files on you will see 2
files which enable the image folder to have special icon, unlike
normal folder.)
Copy
some file to the image using either of these ways:
Drag the file to the explorer window with the image folder opened.
In
Windows Explorer right-click the file or folder you want to copy to
the flash drive and select Send To -> Secured flash folder.
Flash Securer will detect that the image has changed and needs to be written to flash drive and let you know by balloon in the tray. For your convenience this balloon is not displayed at all changes but only at least 5 minutes after it was last displayed.
You can click the synchronize button to update the flash folder with the changes made in the image.
Or if you attempt to unplug the flash, you will be prompted to update too.
In Flash Securer setting you can suppress the prompts so that the image and flash drive folder are synchronized automatically when flash drive is inserted and removed.
